you'll have forgive vagueness of post. i'm reasonably experienced web application developer , systems admin, work entirely within microsoft world; iis, c#/vb / ms sql. know next nothing joomla or lamp stack.

one of clients has had website built advertising agency using joomla, , hosted in2hosting. sole involvement have been update target of @ , www dns records switch new site. however, before doing so, decided test site thoroughly.

the developers had supplied test url in form of http://ip_address/~clientname. when accessed via this, works expected. added entry local hosts file test operation under final url.

when accessed way, homepage comes up, every seo-friendly link (permalink, suppose) on page results in 404 error. however, if insert ~clientname url, works fine. summarise:

http://ip_address/~clientname <- works
http://url <-works
http://url/page_name <- doesn't work
http://url/~clientname/page_name <- works

all links on page appear absolute. if access site via base url, links within rendered html take form /page_name. if accessed via http://url/~clientname, links within rendered html take form /~clientname/page_name.

now here's fun part. advertising agency claiming everything's hunkydory. everything's working fine. don't have access site code, or hosting panel's cpanel instance.

i can't specific answers questions, i'm looking general ideas can feed wonks @ advertising agency try , them resolve issue.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
