My VPS keeps grinding to a halt - Help? - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i have 10 joomla websites hosted on 1mb xen pv vps 2mb swap drive.

none of websites hisgh traffic. in fact go far consider them low traffic.

quite entire vps grinds halt , end "500 internal server errors" , "bad gateway" errors on domains.

i have caching on sites, not due site needs.

the owner of hosting company says following...

it seem in sites causes high disk activity, in turn causes system load spiral out of control. pretty way joomla or of plugins installed configured.

caching pages helps alleviate load cached static content can served without having generate fresh copy of page each time.


does have experience of sort of problem?

my experience of server issues site has been targetted bots. if inspect access logs can see users accessing site , scripts being run (looking @ find answer if isn't bots).
this isn't area, i'd have @ access , error logs see load coming from.

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
