Please refresh my memory re: NR in Bridge previews

a major senior moment leads me ask in refreshing memory regarding noise reduction applied in acr not being reflected in preview panel within bridge after clicking done button in acr.

 

my recollection noise reduction , sharpening applied raw image in acr not reflected, or @ least not reflected in preview panel nor in thumbnail in bridge contents panel.

 

i've been trying forum search post 1 of high gurus (knoll, chan or schewe?) confirmed fact in forum, due aforementioned major senior moment, i've been unable find right keywords search, i've come blank.

here's example illustrates i'm referencing.

 

the first screen shot shows untouched raw image of accidental camera discharge alomost totally black viewed in preview panel of bridge.  can barely make faint parts of boy's face.

 

the second screen shot bridge preview of image processed in acr 7.2 after applying massive noise reduction , clicking on done in acr.

 

the third , last screen shot shows bridge preview of same image same acr adjustments number 2 after opening in psd , saving psd without altering in way after opening in photoshop, saving intact.  in fact how image looks inside acr too.

 

the difference in noise reduction massive.

 

obviously whole thing extreme experiment carried out stress-test noise reduction in acr 7.2c1.  shot, said, accidental camera discharge while camera hanging neck in darkened entrance pizza place , flash off.

 

so here go, per above explanation:
