Weird behaviour with image paths

morning all,

 

i have strange behaviour going on image paths, , wondered if might able spot think going on?

 

on template relative paths (../images/example.jpg) work fine.

 

however, on child pages same relative paths  not showing images , i've had remove '.../' them work (ending images/example.jpg).

 

this isn't desirable i'm manually having tweak child pages editable region content has been copied directly template works fine.

 

any ideas might up?

so in template have links not being managed dw when spawn child pages?  in other words, template have link -

 

<img src="../path_to_image.jpg"

 

and when spawn child template , save new child @ root level, child has same link -

 

<img src="../path_to_image.jpg"

??
