Creating Custom Components: Missing MovieClip issue

hi guys,

 

i've been creating custom reusable components while now, have noticed problem 1 of components.

 

i have 2 movie clips represent status of telephone operator, want able styled invidually; unavailable, available. both movie clips located in component assets/_private folder in library, along container use positioning , swapping/addchild/removechild each of 2 movie clips. container emptied on load of component, , depending on update settings, relevant movie clip loaded it, using as3 class file.

 

now on actual stage of component have available movie clip positioned, , unavailable 1 doesn't exist on stage.

 

when create shim, , run mxi file package component distributable zxp file unavailable movie clip seems disappear package.

 

does every movie clip in library need exist on stage included in package? or can specify clips should included.

 

would great answered! it's confusing topic!

ok, figured out how fix problem,

 

all movieclips should placed on stage in 1 way or another, either inside container movieclip (would need removed on runtime) or can place movieclips on 2nd frame of assets layer on component, cleared when component run.

 

hope helps else having problem

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
