How do i update Installed AIR Applications? // General Questions

hi,

 

first of all, i'm completly new air. however, made way through product documentation , i'm able deploy air , air application (sfdc chatter) , register it.

works fine far, questions:

 

- how can update installed air applications? if try re-install it, installer fail exit code "9"

     -> how can update them directly? if not possible

      -> how can uninstall air applications in large enterprise environment?

- arh tool described in product documentation?

- when installing air system user (i'm using sccm) logfile?

- recommend updating air on regular base? "older" applications compatible newer air versions?

hi ben,

i'd recommend taking @ our captive runtime option available in air 3.0 , higher.  while have roll own installer (and updater) simple zip/batch file combination.  allows use runtime prefer , not dependent on user installs or uninstalls.  have mindful of security implications, it's way i'd go.
