Importing question

i using lightroom @ major university. have on 200,000 photos. there main "photos" folder , many, many subfolders , many subfolders within subfolders, etc.

 

i have catalog on more 1 computer each catalog on each computer has same "photos" folder , keep catalogs synced.

 

i've wondered time why each catalog showing different file totals...some off 1,000 or more photos.

 

the way imported files simply: file/import/ , point "photos" folder. when did each computer took on day or complete.

 

i discovered today reason file totals different between each catalog because each computer did not import many subfolders.

 

i wonder if know why happened? have go in each main folder , import photos missed on initial import.

if took days complete import process, there plenty of computer hiccoughs during time: anti-virus kicking in, back-up processes starting, network refeshing, etc. likely, while each computer importing interupted process, causing skip section looking at. happened @ different times each computer, different folders/files missing.

 

you should able load missing files each computer.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
