Thread: Atheros AR5001 won't find WLAN in laptop


hey folks, absolute beginner here. had never used linux os before, got tired of ****indows , decided drugs... means getting new os = linux. chose ubuntu apparently being simple 1 beginners, , 1 found biggest number of forums. installed 2 days ago , first contact ever.

so, brief story, it, know nothing. installed , seems working except wireless internet. i've looked other threads same problem have none solved mine, i've created one.


enough of talking!

the laptop hp pavillion g60, ubuntu version 11.04 dated april 2011. wireless switch turned on , internet router working (i'm posting dad's vaio w/ w7).

here log commands "help , support" docs told me do. there else should paste here doctors diagnose sickness? looking forward hear you, anyway.

had problem other day on wife's laptop. able come reasonable solution (it still disconnect randomly reconnects shortly after automagically )
