Thread: Getting G-Tech Pro RR to communicate with PASS software on Maverick

hello all,

have g-tech pro rr (the accelerometer device attach car's windshield performance figures 0-60 times) wanted make work on ubuntu 10.10. software installed fine, , runs fine through wine. had buy usb-to-serial adapter when got (even windows), g-tech has serial port on back. can tell, i've downloaded right driver adapter, comes in list of connected devices when enter lsusb terminal, , i've connected through cu.

cannot g-tech device communicate g-tech software. have have right serial port settings in software ( com1 through com8 ) , i've tried them no luck.

in windows, go control panel, in list of devices, , show me device proper com designation in name.

i'm still fooling around minicom, haven't learned how use yet.

else have idea? thing holding me making complete switchover ubuntu.

anyone have ideas?

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
