Thread: How big is the SWAP partition made by the autoinstall

hi,

doing dual boot install on parents computer , have question size of swap partition created automatic install, on live usb (natty install, 64 bit).

date have installed ubuntu on own computer has small amount of ram. in case auto installer has made swap partition large enough allow machine hibernate etc.

on parents computer there 4gb of ram. question whether auto install check amount of ram on machine , make appropriately large swap partition or whether make standard swap partition might not allow parents full use of machine - 64bit etc.

tell me if auto-installer checks ram size , makes swap partition accordingly, or whether need manually set swap partition. in latter case, if knows of solid tutorial on how so, link appreciated.

thanks.

do manually. your prayers answered.
