Thread: HTTPS sites like FB and Hotmail not loading properly

greetings,
using lenovo g550 laptop wid intel dual core 2ghz, 2gb ram, 250gb hdd, etc. earlier had 2 partitions 187gb (windows 7) , other 33gb of lenovo drivers. split 187gb 143gb (windows 7) while remaining 44gb ubuntu 10.10!
everything's been working fine except internet. unable load many https sites fb, hotmail, etc. gmail working absolutely fine.
did research on forum , disabled ipv6! checked firewall , disabled. configured open dns , checked if working fine. nothing has helped.
when connect these sites without 's' in https (i.e. http) these sites load fast. enter username n password , redirected compulsory https site takes me page (shown in thumbnails)! have tried chrome n firefox 3.6 (which have ssl , tls checked in preferences)! these sites working fine on windows 7. don't want use windows 7 every , because has become slow , boring! please me this.
connect internet using dsl wired (bsnl broadband 256kbps)

i checked firewall , disabled.
and how modem/router connects internet. blocking secure socket layer port?

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
