Thread: Not able to Log on - Kernel panic not syncing VFS


hi everyone,

last week playing adding/removing items panel , unknown error happened , keyboard strokes not recognized(i can enter log-in password while logging after input keyboard not recognized).

per friends suggestion tried update ubuntu latest version 11.04 , during process,system restarted , not restart , since getting below error:

kernel panic not syncing vfs unable mount root vfs on unknown block(0,0)
i tried different options displayed on boot screen , results below:

  1. ubuntu-2.6.3-28-generic -- not working
  2. ubuntu-2.6.3-28-generic-recovery mode -- not working
  3. ubuntu-2.6.3-27-generic -- working input keyboard not recognized
  4. ubuntu-2.6.3-27-generic-recovery mode -- working input keyboard not recognized
  5. ubuntu-2.6.3-24-generic -- working input keyboard not recognized
  6. ubuntu-2.6.3-24-generic-recovery mode -- working input keyboard not recognized
  7. windows 7 -- working , keyboard working


other options working input keyboard not recognized after logging in..

please me out of situation..

in advance..

do have problem when logging gnome classic?
