Thread: Partition Problem

okay had switched on windows ubuntu , got rid of windows still had recovery partition , deleted it. tried add space partition, "media." whatever reason deleted "media" partition used testdisk restore it. did wrong , when rebooted computer not boot used livecd check whats wrong , had deleted of partitions , ubuntu found. used testdisk again recover them, time successful. problem when start computer not boot ubuntu shows black screen white underscore ("_") flashing in corner. i'm not sure don't think booting correct partition, think trying boot first partition, /dev/sda1, rather /dev/sda3. if problem how fix it?

boot livecd, mount root drive , post contents of /etc/fstab file also, try reinstall grub2. i'd provide link, i'm on phone.
