Thread: Problem in upgrading Linux Kernel in Ubuntu 11.04 to 2.6.39.0

i upgraded kernel 2.6.38.0 2.6.39.0
using these commands

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kernel-ppa/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install linux-headers-2.6.39-0 linux-headers-2.6.39-0-generic linux-image-2.6.39-0-generic --fix-missing

and after finishing when booting appears but
doesn't open
shows me black screen points ok
except
starting system v runlevel compatibility [fail]
