Thread: Ubuntu 11.04 no microphone input


hey folks,

after upgrading ubuntu 11.04 10.10 microphone on headset stopped working. want use things skype or teamspeak. problem has been narrowed down bit have no problem playing sounds , microphone tested on other machines , worked fine.

looked lot of threads , solutions none have helped yet. here tried:

use arecord in terminal record .wav , listen it. no sound recorded. tried various settings in pavucontrol , alsamixer , since have mono-mic set front-right input channel 0 , left 1 75%. checked nothing muted or turned off, hardware recognized, system set analog stereo duplex , headset set input device. reinstalled alsa packeages (util, base, etc) , made sure there no conflict oss. still no sound recorded.

use alsa-info-script provide detailed information.
run command in terminal:
