Thread: why can't the scanner access problem get fixed and stay fixed?

i have epson 636u usb scanner have been using years hosted on 10.04 system. current situation user account can detect scanner "scanimage -l" , "sane-find-scanner" can root account, new user account created. added same group permissions new user account have on account. don't know why works me , not new user. can see device name of scanner /dev/bus/usb/002/002. if set group membership of device scanner group both accounts can access scanner. of course changes if scanner turned off , on. why can 1 account access when owned root not other?

have been fighting same $&^&^& usb scanner access problem 7 years now. first easy. figure out device name of scanner was, set ownership , permissions , golden. device names changed. dynamic. there hal script supposed fix permissions. worked while. didn't work there udev script. don't works or not. system old , there dangling scripts lying around may obsolete packages. can't fixed once , all?

PProHeadless.exe has stopped working error when opening projects in Adobe Media Encoder CS6

hi, upgraded adobe cloud cs6 , having problems adobe media encoder cs 6 (version 6.0.1.31 64-bit).   when try add adobe premiere projects in ame, gives me following error:   pproheadless.exe has stopped working   i tried rebooting, , still gives me same error.  project load, won't.   the premiere projects contain h.264 .mov file coming canon t2i.  added overlay logo bottom right of video created in adobe after effects, contains text, no effects, no motion, etc.  have .wav file recorded zoom h4n, not always.  edit in adobe audition remove noise feature.   i running on windows 7 ultimate 64-bit.  i'm using i7 16gb ram , ati 6870 video card.   i have lut buddy plugin installed.   it give me error first time try load project, , connection dynamic link server fail.  afterwards, if try load project again, if restart ame, stays stuck in connecting dynamic link server...   any provide appreciated. what happens when drag , a...
