Toolbar placement in 9.x Standard within IE8

i'm having bit of difficulty configuration of 3rd-party acrobat plugin (msi installation package) , custom registry value provided vendor enables enable 'comments , markup' toolbar, acrobat plugin in ie8, , packaging these registry modifications in gpo can deploy throughout organization. i can reproduce desired configuration locally on workstation or terminal server environment consistently, when new domain user logs enviroment, of these changes lost.

 

my goal capture registry entries consistent "good" configuration, , deploy these changes via gpo. using regshot, seems there on 600+ registry changes hkcu in adobe , other various shell folders when i'm able achieve 'good' configuraion. i'm @ loss @ how capture these changes in gpo, or if @ adobe knows of simpler way approach this.

 

i realize seems bit nebulous, description of workflow may help.

 

1. install acrobat 9.0 standard. patch way 9.5.2
2. install 3rd-party vendor .msi plugin
3. double click vendor provided .reg file enables 'comments , markup' toolbar. without registry file, 'comments , markup' toolbar not toolbar can enabled within .pdf's opened via ie8.

5. double click vendor provided .reg file 'freeze' toolbars set. works 90% of time. if doesn't, re-open .pdf, rearrange toolbars, , apply .reg file again. works, if not, keep restarting , trying until does. if is successfull, have set once.

 

again though - can set these changes individual user's domain enviroment, if new user logs same workstation, have redo entire process on gain. i've been battling 6 months - i'd move our organization on terminal services/vdi, way windows stores registry information, , how dependent on toolbar, cannot move forward until solve this.

 

also, issue adobe professional services may able me with? wouldn't mind paying have has experience in area , able solve issue us, assist our organization this.

it's possible there more registry changes going on, example there may registering of components (which update registry not in way such cloning registry helps).

 

i think adobe refer plug-in vendor, that's guess.
