Adobe AIR 3.4 for iOS - Compiler stalls/hangs & never creates ipa
so, i've run bit of roadblock. i'm trying package ios app contains ane (iad), swc (tweener), , external file using flash cs6. i've packaged app android blackberry, ios seems giving me run money.
i've linked necessary external files did android. same exact process i've done @ least 20 times existing apps (with exception of swc , external file). when preview swf, swf compiles , plays fine. should. when go publish type of ipa file, initializes, creates temp files/folders , hangs. never compiles ipa file. let attempt compile through several attempts, longest being 30mins, before cancelling. wondering if else coming across issue. google searches didnt much.
- i've tried air 3.2, 3.3 , 3.4, none worked.
- the compiled file size on android 1.6mb, external files aren't ridiculously huge.
- i tried moving external files root of flash file, didnt help.
- i attempted command line package - same thing. started compiling , seemed freeze
last successful ipa compiled 8/22. i'm not sure heck happened between , then, or issue be. no errors or warnings appear @ point throughout every test/attempt i've done. running out of options. appreciate guidance/help provided.
ok, after testing... i've pinpointed potential problem. external file dictonary word list of 172k words written array. had no problem compiling android or blackberry, ios packager doesn't seem it.
i had loading external text file , creating array @ runtime, didn't way functioned/processed. faster pre-made & sorted external file --
once removed file , created small array in place of it, flash compiled ipa fine.
with said... there type of work around doesnt involve loading , processing external text file @ runtime?
or other ideas can attempt make thing work?
