format of response from distributed form

hi guys,

 

i have been working trial of acrobat x pro , livecycle es ii, determine if can use replace paper forms in our workplace. have deployed alfresco, open source cms, tightly integrated adobe forms. little confused though, @ trying figure out controls format of response.

 

with forms create in livecycle, when distributed, response seems either pdf or xml file. first few forms designed arrived on server pdf's when tested them (which wanted). last couple have created (using livecycle) however, seem arrive xml. have gone through every page of distribute... wizard feel rather fine toothed comb cannot find anywhere control this.

 

today have discovered alfresco unable parse form fields in livecycle pdf's (this tika parser , pdfbox, isn't related disccussion directly), have switched acrobat which, in testing far, create forms parsable tika. when distribute form acrobat though, responses seem in xfdf format (which seems boil down xml anyway).

 

i sure actual pdf's created @ point. still have test distribution folders full of pdf responses. know missing controls response??

almost third party products working pdf forms designed acroforms, made acrobat, rather xfa forms, made livecycle designer. may need other adobe livecycle server products process responses if pdf. xml responses easier work with. no, don't know why changing, sorry.
