Maximum Blu-Ray length at HQ with H.264 and 5.1 audio
greetings,
i trying through first project after upgrading cs6 , although have searched on topic, have not found solution.
i used cs5 , encoded mpeg-2/hq/vbr2 1440x1080i (matches source) , surcode encoding 5.1 audio produce blu-ray's.
it seems cs6, , enhanced video codecs, momentum start using h.264 vs. mpeg-2. have correct?
i aware there seem issues 5.1 audio , various encoding presets don't care have encode audio , video separately in order them encore. can't believe still have that....
anyway, if correct preferred method use h.264 now, question this:
what maximum high quality project length (that fit on sl bd disc) if use h.264 encoder 1440x1080i, high quality, 5.1 audio soundtrack? source material hdv if matters. guess related question h.264, recommended settings/bitrate in order maximum or high quality codec? had figured out mpeg-2!
thanks insights,

i have 1 additional question. cs5 encoded 1440x1080i blu-ray discs....technically using ame encode , add menus , create blu-ray image without further video scaling.
this seemed recommendation had hdv footage going blu-ray , created nice looking discs.
but, in conjunction question above on changes h.264, cs6 change recommendation on resolution use in ame hdv source fooage? have encoder scaling vs. bluray player?
thanks. again, appreciate input. struggling trying determine multi-disc cut points without being able fit out disc lenghts above.
