Section numbering and TOC's

i have been asked convert document interactive pdf (toc clickable, hyperlinks etc).

 

they have formatted document hand, no styles or anything. issue haven't used page numbers section numbering. page numbers are:

 

1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, 3.1 etc.

 

i have sorted automatic page numbering making each section proper section , re-starting page numbering 1 in each section. on master page have, in bottom right hand corner, text box holds <section marker>.<current page number>.

 

i called sections 1, 2, 3 etc no prefix.

 

this gives me 1.1, 1.2 etc throughout the document. trouble is, when come generate toc, correct page number within section, no section number in front of page number.

 

how get:

 

resins          1.1

appliqué       1.2

enamel         1.3

 

fonts            2.1

colour          2.2

 

in toc's , not:

 

resins          1

appliqué       2

enamel         3

 

fonts           1

colour          2

 

i have in cs3 company using. appreciated.

 

many in advance.

have tried going numbering , section options, putting in section prefix (e.g. 1.), ticking include prefix when numbering pages.

 

seems work both auto page numbering , toc...
