Sub-domains management with one Joomla installation - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi everyone,

i'm trying build own website decided go joomla.
only 2 weeks ago registered , hosted website @ godaddy
successfully built main page , knew how add menus, manipulate positions .... , other basic stuff.

now want create 2 sub-domains blog.my-domain.com , forum.my-domain.com , manage them same back-end use, sub-domains sharing users,topics,pages..., each domain/sub-domain have own template , style.

what have done far is:
1- installed joomla 2.5 (/) directory.

2- created 2 sub-domains godaddy control panel , associated (/blog) , (/forum) them, , have dns records.

3- created (index.html) file , placed in both directories test sub-domains working, , both worked using blog.my-domain.com , forum.my-domain.com, removed file.

4- followed joomla docs article multiple domains , web sites in single joomla! installation got stuck.
as said in article; created test article , assigned menu item in new menu , put menu item my-domain.com home page , assigned different template menu item.
the part manipulate .htaccess file didnt work me, no matter breaks. when use my-domain.com/blog below screenshot
