Thread: How to install GTK+ from source code

downloaded gtk+ 3.0 http://www.gtk.org/download/linux.php
i'm trying install can't
when enter ./configure in terminal see @ end
code:
configure: error: package requirements (glib-2.0 >= 2.28.0    atk >= 1.30    pango >= 1.24.0    cairo >= 1.10.0    cairo-gobject >= 1.10.0    gdk-pixbuf-2.0 >= 2.22.0) not met:  no package 'glib-2.0' found no package 'atk' found no package 'pango' found no package 'cairo' found no package 'cairo-gobject' found no package 'gdk-pixbuf-2.0' found  consider adjusting pkg_config_path environment variable if installed software in non-standard prefix.  alternatively, may set environment variables base_dependencies_cflags , base_dependencies_libs avoid need call pkg-config. see pkg-config man page more details.

the easiest way install gtk3 either ricotz gnome3 ppa or if want compile, using jhbuild
