Thread: Should I change to 64-bit Ubuntu?


sorry if daft question if don't ask, won't learn!

i've been using 32-bit ubuntu, i'm new pc (apparently) support 64-bit. 2 questions, really. there real advantage using 64-bit ubuntu? if so, can still transfer on home directory current machine, or there problem configuration files?

don't use machine video editing, on-line gaming or else requires lot of processing power.

guidance.

64-bit allows have more memory, 32 see 3gb.
use deja dup external drive , install on new system , restore.
