Thread: Wild Dog - plugging in headphones does not mute speakers
i have wild dog performance ( wilp8 ) running ubuntu 11.04, , plugging in headphones jack on top of computer case not automatically mute speakers.
have run in problem year or 2 ago on dell computer earlier versions of ubuntu, , the solution enable jack sense adding line @ bottom of /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf says:
options snd-hda-intel model=xxxxx
'xxxxx' particular value specific computer. once add line , reload alsa, can go in alsamixer , enable headphone jack sense following these instructions:
http://ubuntuguide.net/fix-sound-sti...n-ubuntu-10-04
anyway, can't figure out enter 'xxxxx' wild dog performance ( wilp8 ) computer headphone jack sense option enabled in alsamixer. using 'auto' not work, i'll need specific value. alsamixer reports audio card as:
hda intel pch
realtek alc892
headphone jack work, can manually send output using sound preferences, , when plug headphones in sound out of them. need jack sense work.
