Wildcards in URLs?

can use wildcards in urls in php?  instance:

 

<?php $myurl= 'http://mysite.com/'; ?> 

 

are there wildcards or can throw @ end of subdirectories , files included in that?

you can put whatever want in there. matters how intend process variable in php script. if put '*' @ end of url, script need detect , take appropriate action. it's not clear intent here.
