How to eliminate the thumbnail picture from a .TIFF picture?

i apologize not think of more suitable forum ask question - if has idea better place, appreciate.

when create picture (nikon) camera in tiff format, appears picture file contains in addition full blown picture, reduced version of picture, large thumbnail vrsion of picture. found trying create pdf file of .tiff file - acrobat created 2 page file, 1 full picture , 1 reduced picture. looks can't tell camera not embbed thumbnail version.

so question is, familiar .tiff file format, how eliminate thumbnail version .tiff file. must somewhere (hopfully one) location in file when modifying it eliminates thumbnail picture acrobat's view .tiff file.

as question why not erase undesired page pdf file - answer going assemble many (hundreds) such pictures 1 pdf file. acrobat put pictures such each main picture followed own thumbnail , therefore have select manually each single thumbnail page before erasing them, extremely tedious. if process @ individual .tiff file describrd above, write program modification .tiff files 1 invokation.

many thanks,

david

that sounds bug in acrobat - should process tiff, not jpeg thumbnail in exif metadata inside tiff.

you might find strip exif metadata out of file.
