first created  .folio

i not have profile of dps , publish viewing in adobe viewer on ipad new (3)

after publication identified 2 problems:

1. weight 40 page-folio no video, audio or web content exceeded 300mb

2. important thing! in transition page page (both horizontally , vertically) ipad slow! freezes few seconds.

page layout size of old ipad (1024x768), created folio new , rasterized in auto jpg medium quality

what did wrong , there possibility rid of brakes?

i did small test myself today , found results listed below. test case folio included 2 articles, both same number of pages complete full-page images, hd video, , multiple mso's.

 

the folio setting used each of articles on add/import... ie; folio-pdf, article-pdf

 

pdf - 13mb

smooth interaction, buttons work fine, scrollable content fine, occassional jitter on page transistions. low res page preview on page load res'es up.

 

jpeg - 16mb

sharp images, major delays in vertical (in article) , horizontal (between articles). delays in interaction buttons.

 

automatic - 17mb

same issues jpeg.

 

png - 77mb

very smooth interaction, no delay. hi quality images beautiful layout @ cost of heavy file sizes.

 

my advice experiment folio/article compression settings.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
