Thread: computer display "out of frequency" at Grub screen


when i'm loading computer, dual booted ubuntu , vista, screen should giving me option of os boot makes display say, "out of frequency". if wait couple minutes loads ubuntu.

, i've found out if hit arrow down , hit enter can load safe mode (or something). display hp w1907.

help.

try changing resolution of grub. in terminal, run

code:
sudo gedit /etc/default/grub
then find section has word resolution in it. last line should read

code:
#grub_gfxmode=640x480
get rid of comment (# symbol) activate line. 640x480 should resolution visible monitor. finally, run

code:
sudo update-grub
and should save changes. should in range now. if not, dunno.
