Thread: Help! I cannot set up file sharing with Windows! :(

i keep trying , keep trying set father's documents folder on our pc running ubuntu 11.04 shared folder across network windows computers, , keep getting error messages one:

"'net usershare' returned error 255: net usershare add: cannot share path /home/frank restricted sharing directories own.
ask administrator add line "usershare owner = false"
[global] section of smb.conf allow this."

have home folder set on our pc running ubuntu can access , change files, @ moment. want know if can set file sharing windows, still have files protected password?
