Thread: Recent updates break networking

hey all,
sister has been complaining day internet connection (wireless , wireful) both stopped working today. after asking few questions, figured out stopped working right around time when installed recent batch of updates. curious going on, installed updates on netbook too. after finished installing, got pop-up message saying "the daemon has stopped working" or that. restarted machine , networking doesn't work @ all. can me diagnose , solve problem? methinks it's issue networking daemons , networking interface, i'm no network expert.

it horrible situation, know have learned fastest way solve downloading latest version of ubuntu , reinstall, take few mins. otherwise can take few days before find answer.
