Thread: Serious question : What is considered spam?


in light of fellow user's post. have begun wonder. considered spam?

user in question may tell story if wish i'm not going out them. sure moderators of forum , administrators familiar incident.

however, called "spam post" deemed.

so makes determination, , on basis post unsolicited? ask refer thread.

1 consider unsolicited , minus fact created member of forum staff. in , of little disturbing. we've identified considered unsolicited , let's determine it's validity in relation linux. don't think particularly have linux zen master see cute cat pictures while entertaining have no educational value whatsoever in relation linux.

let's @ possible other reasons post have been removed. first 1 comes mind associated link advertisement, in particular case not. there no ability purchase nor did poster request to. maybe because post had potential bog down site's database? don't think since plain text post singular link. in comparison post full of cat pictures, uses negligible amount of server resources.

left overwhelming feeling of double standard here, desperately hoping misunderstanding. community, if there double standard , or blatant censorship choose not part of it.

being said request honest answer in public manner. not posted initiate flame war, please don't take there. however, love hear other user's opinions administrative input on posed questions.
