Thread: USB flash disk isn't working............

i'm running mint 11, , have 8gb usb pendrive, , doesn't want work...
before begin, point out pendrive working machine, until 2 days ago.

alright, problem absolutely nothing happens when put pendrive in computer. nothing shows up, nothing says usb device not recognized, nothing happens. though more easy fix, not know how haha.
went terminal used dmesg, , output:

also, when try sudo fdisk /dev/sdb, says cannot open sdb.

hi have tried using disc utility check partitioning?

chances mbr? of stick has corrupted giving unknown partition table.

if there important in use testdisk recover partition information , possibly photorec recover files.

testdisk , photorec come in 1 package repositories.

if there nothing of importance in 1 way format startup disc creator rewrites first few sectors create partition table. or can use gparted same thing, in gparted make sure looking @ correct drive.
