To Graphics card or not to Graphics card
hi all,
looking opinion/experience here on hardware, graphics cards.
i understand captivate (and photoshop matter) processor intensive applications.
if case, gpu built onto motherboard suffice rather added expenditure of graphics card (quaddro or similar) worth it?
at work use dell machines , new desktop spec has in intel core i5 2400 processor , comes 8gb of ram (although use win xp pro 32bit architechture, go figure).
would built in graphics work well?
does part of captivate use graphics card particularly intensely?
many thanks
hi col,
had several questions, crawling cp. linked big files on systems little dedicated memory graphics and/or little ram-memory. minimum requirements specified captivate perhaps work if have application open , small files. of course, since you'll remain 32-bit 2gb can used programs, leaves memory graphics if have 8gb. have preferred dedicated graphics card, laptop has 1gb card (nvidia) , new desktop 2gb card. i'm using lot of adobe applications (not photoshop premiere pro, after effects). know when added 8gb ram laptop (it had nvidia card) available 4gb, captivate got boost.... desktop has 32gb of memory i'm real multitasker. told buitl in graphics work better while ago, , never tried system without graphics card.
lieve
