Blurry image in AI file?

hi, tried use flags in ai. file. flag size want tiny, less 1cm. it's strange when printer show me pdf proof, flags(png , tif) looks blurry while others(also png , tif) looks ok. download flags online , image looks big , need them in tiny size shrink them , think should alright; don't understand why blurry. question can use svg flags download wikipedia , use them on ai. file?

 

p.s. guess it's complexity of flag affects quality. because have tif flag sized 4.2mb , still shows blurry.

do flags sharp on file sendng printer? if so, should talk printer , ask them why proof looks bad. pdf proofs optimized @ lower resolution in order reduce file size allow emailed. zooming in on proof? proof showing printed piece like, (it's unlikely using magnifying glass on printed piece). did place images illustrator , save pdf (recommended), or copy , paste? might better results if re-size tif files in photoshop, place them in illustrator file @ correct size. also, if original files rgb, printer has converted them cmyk, pdf proof show (acrobat> tools> output preview> show> rgb).

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
