Captivate 6, audio on slides randomly doesn't play

i working in captivate 6 adding closed captioning files created in captivate 5.5 else. audio randomly not work on slide or 2 in preview mode , when published (though worked before 5.5, had no closed captioning). odd thing it's not same slide in audio disappears, , audio typically come slide or 2 later. rather large file @ 105 slides, , issue starts occurring around slide 75. wondering if splitting files might help? , not sure if issue closed captioning, captivate 6, or both?

 

publishing flash player 9 it's linear presentation no interaction.

your issue might due audio getting out of synch slides.  @ point has wait catch up.

 

try this: screenshot of slide timeline shows audio file hard against both ends of slide. need create small gap @ beginning , end of audio file on each slide selecting audio file , hitting right arrow key twice move right 2 frames, , hit left arrow key move 1 frame.  give 1 tenth second pause @ beginning , end of audio on slide.  end users not detect pause because gap there, captivate think piece of audio needs separate clip.  isolating audio on each slide way helps synchronisation of audio slides.

 

in project on few dozen slides never recommend using single large audio file markers synched each slide.  there many different configurations of pc , browser out there can cause playback vary.
