Global configuration settings - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi,

i have uploaded joomla website local drive new 1&1 web server.

i noticed when updated articles in joomla administration, updated joomla folder on local drive , not joomla folder on 1&1 server.

i opened joomla administration , went global configuration , tried direct joomla administration 1 &1 server.

here's did.

i changed temp folder

www/var/joomla... path found on web server

i changed folowing information:

host : localhost ............. pointed host name of mysql on 1&1 site

database username : root ...............now pointed database username of mysql on 1&1 site

database name : joomla ................ pointed database name of mysql on 1&1 site

now when openup browser , try , enter joomla administration following message:


database connection error (2): not connect mysql.


does have ideas on how can change information can enter joomla administration page.

to you, in future, find correct forum topic please read which forum post question have put together.

assuming on standard shared hosting 1&1, have set domain name point root_directory/subdirectory or root_directory/ joomla has been placed, within domain manager?

have selected correct php version within 1&1?

are calling http://example.com/administrator , not still localhost/administrator?

did import database tables remote database?
are sure files have been uploaded remote host?

how did transfer site , database remote host? host web explorer or ftp client, , phpmyadmin or did use akeeba backup?
