Need Help on making a type of news/blog site with ReadMore - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi,

i have encounter 3 problems when developing new joomla website, i'm new joomla...

1 - installed jce extensions adds option insert "read me more" on piece of text showing part of article when clicked redirected main article.

but notice doesn't work content in table, want show picture text right of it.
how can this?

2 - other question there command can call/write on article show publish date of article? don't normal option because of format , blank space between title , content.

3 - how can highlight article make appear on top of homepage? ( try setting highlight in article didn't see feedback on website)

specs:
my homepage set in menu item type: type blog, shows articles new category.

template:

first off, better off limit threads 1 question... way, you're more more complete answer, not forum rule, observation.

now set of answers, because remember, there more 1 way deal issue in joomlaville.

1. shame, shame, shouldn't using table layout article... (shhhh, don't tell anyone, it's quickest , reliable method, , "table police" not going call on you.) far better use image tag align="left" or in jce think apply <style="float:left;"> tag image.

if image tag placed inside paragraph, , appropriate margins set, text flow nicely around image, , "readmore" work well.

2. restyle created date css liking... if don't on page, read on template overrides in docs section, , can put anywhere like.

3. acheive permanent top position article, 1 way have used make "article" custom html module, , publish on appropriate page(s)...
you may have add module position template, not difficult that, , there loads of tutorials around address thing.
