Thread: Black Screen

i realized posted in wrong area before if can erase thread great. i'm on third ubuntu machine i'm going nuts right now. i'm running 11.04 , every time power on without plugged in screen dark can make out on it. went in , played power management did not good. if close machine , not shut down first fire no problem if try turn on shut down goes black if running battery power

please?
