Change default graphic import to "Copy into Doc?"

we using framemaker 10 in windows 7 environment.

 

we use file > import > file bring graphics our framemaker files.

apparently, when import graphics that, default setting in framemaker "import reference."

this default setting has created hours of rework us, because not use linked graphics, , not automatically think of linked graphics when import several graphics framemaker files.  so, when else attempts open framemaker file, see error message user a's framemaker cannot find graphic on user b's hard drive.

 

so, have stop work, , have user b go of graphics , manually change them "copy document."

 

this has happened many times.

 

is there way make default setting importing graphics: "copy document"?

no there no way it,the way designed way because copy document increases size of project.

 

however if first time when import file , select copy document,from next time onwards,it stay same.
