Pen tool error

hi got problems pen tool. when want use pen tool , select shapes error says "could not use pen tool because of program error" dont understand whats happening photoshop. help

generally speaking, if have pc i'd suggest checking see if there updated drivers system - example, check web site of maker of video card see whether they've released new display driver hardware , operating system.

 

if have mac, well, can try tweaking settings in preferences - performance dialog, making sure quit , restart photoshop when you're done.

 

try resetting tool:

 

 

 

failing that, can request photoshop clear preference settings defaults.  it's not unheard of photoshop's preferences corrupted state things don't work right, , corrects problems.

 

to that, press control - shift - alt (or on mac command - shift - option) upon cold-starting photoshop, confirm pop-up asks confirm deletion of current preferences.  of course, after doing this, you'll have set preferences again liking.
