Photoshop crashes every time I try to use "HDR Toning" option or text tool... WHYYYY???

so hit little "t" text tool, , generic windows 7 "this program has encountered program , needs close" error. click out of error box, , work disappears changed preferences , opened files. same happens when try use image>adjustments>hdr toning. yay. , what's funny both errors display fault module of "cooltype.dll." argh.

 

i have tried has posted on every computer-related forum find. nothing has worked @ all. deleted every single font minus system fonts, including mentioning them in system registry. tried new copy of dll file, nothing. reset photoshop preferences, nothing. system restore failed. uninstall/reinstall of entire adobe master collection failed. throw computer through wall.

 

oh, , in 32-bit version, hdr toning works text tool gives me error message "something prevented text engine being initialized." and, well, don't want use 32-bit version.

 

i have lot of work done, if me find answer issue once , all, awesome. thanks.

did try updating display driver?

 

what video card have , version of display driver?

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
