Self-made pop-up menu

hey guys,

this first time i've been working fireworks, might have little patience me. i'm hard-learner.

here's deal: i'm design little website , wanted use selfmade pop-up menu, since don't designs of menus fireworks offers.

i've cut page segments, dragged each of little cross lines in middle of own segment , chosed status.

and that's trouble starts. have 3 statuses, can't them work right.

so when mouse on word "team" in navigation bar, word "team" changes color , size wanted it, , little pop-up menu appars underneath it.  

status 1-> status 2: works!

 

but when roll mouse on single names appear in pop-up menu of "team", want them change color , described in status 3, won't.

status 2 -> status 3: doesn't work!!!

 

so what's problem? did miss or wrong???
