Thread: After installing Ubuntu 11.04 my windows can't boot again

i'm not sure if here right place ask this. after installing ubuntu 11.04 windows 7 installation can't boot again. installed ubuntu on different partiton. can see windows partition on ubuntu, disk utility, partition type unknown(0x42), trying change gives me error. please do?

not try , change partition type!!!

instead, inside working ubuntu install can see going on:

1. download boot info script in zipped file. there link in signature.
2. once downloaded, move boot info script either copying or dragging , dropping zipped folder onto desktop , unzip contents using right-click extract here.
3. open folder , copy script desktop (you can drag , drop if like)
4. open terminal , run following command

sudo bash ~/desktop/boot_info_script.sh
this create results.txt file on desktop. paste entire contents of file here in new post. once pasted highlight text , click # sign on toolbar place code tags around text.

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
