Thread: How to see what happens when usb inserted
hi. know out there somewhere think need further here is...
want connect new blackberry playbook ubuntu via usb cable. have done, whether or not needed to, install samba4 , nfs. long long story short have figured if connect in playbook, restart 2 different networking applet options. auto eth0 , auto ethernet. i'm tireed right , know usb works auto eth0 not entirely sure wireless although think working....
so..... want find out why need restart playbook in order os use it?
there tail command enough tell if installing driver , if how can made permanent? soo many questions.....
oh go file in nautilus , select connect server, smb://playbook
simple!
on blackberry playbook
1) go settings > usb connections >
select - connect windows
select - file sharing - on
select - password protect - off (you can enable, easy purpose, leave off)
2) go settings > > network
write down usb ipv4 address
3) connect playbook usb cable
on ubuntu pc
1) go places > connect server
2) select type > windows share
2) server ip - type in playbook usb ipv4 address
3) select connect
should see of folders (music, videos, photos, print, etc......)
drag , drop hearts content!
when finished, turn off file sharing unless have used password
