501 method not implemented - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

there seems plethora of reports on error going years, although latest 1 find dated 2010. appear have not been solved i've been getting it. error doesn't occur after entering backend , amending/creating articles , menus, starts raise ugly head, occurrences getting more , more frequent until have quit joomla , reload browser. impossible exit joomla correctly. problem occurs in browsers test work on - ie9, google chrome, mozilla firefox , apple safari.

i've googled web , searched forum, , of explanations leave me baffled. develop , maintain web sites using joomla (self-taught), lay no claim understanding references mod_security, etc. however, have gleaned problem has cookies and, therefore, if run "inprivate" or "incognito" problem should go away. have briefly tested "solution" , seems work.

so, answer? there solution? why have not hit problem before until last month or two? did move hosts (two months ago), 1 "cloud hosting", cause?

it cookie related issue , clearing cookies @ point when occurs resolves issue.
it historic cookies if has not been cleared in long while. use ff time , have never experienced issue of sites or have accessed , not configure "inprivate or incognito" , should not necessary.
all use way of control noscript addon prevents javascript , other scripts running unless approve them known site , has been real boon when don't want whole stream of adverts or else clogging viewing.
