Creating PDF from Word and not having proper font displayed even though it is embedded in Word???
ok, so, trying figure best way convert our customers word files pdfs once receive them. sometimes, use fonts not have. our fix, far, "embedd font" option in word when save file. allows view font in word should appear (correct). problem is, when creat pdf word, font missing...even though think have proper settings in our preset pdf creation. once create pdf, converting missing fonts arial mt. using acrobat x pro
now, strange thing is....if use free, generic option (pdf creator)....it works!?! font appears should. baffled @ do??? again, keeping in mind want ensure pdfs create customer word files have proper font when pdf created.
thoughts?? suggestions?? thank in advance

use print or press job options (or change font properties in standard) convert pdf. possible font not licensed embedding. in case, acrobat not embed font because of license issues. fact other conversions may work may not adhering license (and not want post in such case). if use ctrl-d when pdf open, should able check font tab embedding. since have made comment fonts being arial mt, suggests have checked , not embedded. arial mt substitution font used.
you have careful printer properties (or pdf maker) has option set use document fonts.
