Custom colors in FrameMaker 10 not being maintained when printing PDF using Distiller/Professional X

hello all,

 

i working first tech writing job requires printed material instead of pdfs, , having problems logo colors when comes printing them.

 

i created 2 color definitions in framemaker 10 (using colors pantone 485 cvc , pantone 281 cvc). these colors used diagram callouts , doc titles.

 

i upgraded distiller x , acrobat professional x, thinking maybe older versions didn't support colors, , still getting same result. instead of printing colors added, pdf printed default red , blue. framemaker using cmyk model.

 

i have feeling need adjust settings, don't know whether adjust distiller, acrobat, or framemaker. else have issues when trying use company's colors? ideas on might work?

er, nice know using print file.  colors pantone spot colors , interpreted whatever print driver happen using.  or, yes default red , blue.  filemakerpro not defacto standard print publishing.  distiller converts file pdf using default settings or custom settings create.  acrobat has control, depends on output device and, go bit further, paper.  did in filemaker forum?
