Database errors corrupt path from menu link - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
firstly, i've been working joomla since 1.0 , not noob.
second, i've never had problem joomla!
site/system params:
joomla 2.5.8 migrated 1.5.26 site using
recommended php , sql versions
template: ascent joomlabamboo, along various jb extensions
major extensions: akeeba backup, jce, acymailing...
i provide fpa upon request.
here's situation:
sidebar navigation menu produces errors in path unknown reason. category, menu , item ids reflect published site. database, however, adding (randomly) following path: new private message/news-blogs/...
i might not noob know better mess around database since totally ignorant of how interacts cms. admin panel, unpublished , deleted offending menu. moved articles under "news-blog" "uncategorised" , deleted aforementioned category. looked @ db again.
this saw:. looks strange path changes replicated category in database. rich site supposed go live on 11/15/12.

is related migration?
did backup database , files before migration? if don't backup, on, take backups before doing restore easy. or in general in case goes wrong it's easier roll , fix major issues. problem isolated these columns? may have fix manually altering values in these fields.
can upgrade 1.5 2.5 seamlessly? or did follow step step guide or use jupgrade or that? had mess db trying upgrade 3.0, restore files 2.5, , had fix db , put 2.5 expected.
i may way off topic, i'm not sure alter these values unless update. example insert can done without specifying column names or update somehow column had happen.
changing values should shouldn't cause issues, if problem keeps reproducing when create new items that's problem...
