Joomla 2.5.x & PHP 5.4 - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
Ι tested joomla , seems there many strict stadard warnings, question is: php version should able run joomla? 5.3 or 5.4? don't want hide errors
my web host upgraded servers php 5.4 default. give option run different local versions different web sites.
once upgrade complete, switched global newer 5.4 php. after doing assuming joomla 2.5 versions handle it, few clients began calling issues. registration errors , few other issues individual components. after doing little research, discovered both in these forums , elsewhere known issue joomla 2.5 , php 5.4 "being worked on". don't know how long has been issue, or how long take resolve it, moment, barring new information, i'm stepping 5.2 or 5.3 prevent issues cropping up. can use .htaccess file include specific version of php particular site. had add codes in .htaccess file both root of site , administrator root components such akeeba admin & backup not throw out warnings out of date php versions. can google php version in .htaccess find appropriate code situation.
